should we be reporting sensitivities to macrolides in staphs islated from urine?
No, results of susceptibility testing for macrolides, clindamycin, and chloramphenicol should not be reported on isolates from urine. These agents are no excreted into urine and should not be used to treat a urinary tract infection.
