The lack of correlation between imipenem and meropenem is most striking with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Acinetobacter spp. It is uncommon with Enterobacteriaceae at this time, but since bacteria keep changing over time it would be advisable not to assume that the two drugs are equivalent.
