Guidelines for performing beta lactamase testing on staphylococci and enterococci can be found in CLSI documents:
1) See M7-A7 (Dilution testing) page 26, Section 14.1 for "Selecting a beta lactamase test". The similar description is found in M2-A9 (Disk testing) page 20, Section 13.
2) Information is also found in M100-S17 in Tables 2C and 2D in the "Comments" column for both dilution and disk testing.
