Help

I have a private laboratory in monrovia liberia and would like to be involved in culture and sensitivity testing. What is the best way to begin after getting all the basic materials?
Procedures for the variety of specimens to be tested need to be developed. A good resource for this is the ASM Clinical Microbiology Procedures Handbook available through ASM Press (http://www.asmpress.org/). Media to be used and procedures for quality control can also be found in the Clin. Micro. Procedures Handbook. Procedures for antimicrobial susceptibility testing, quality control and other areas important in a microbiology lab can be obtained from the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (formerly NCCLS) at www.clsi.org. Obtaining the expertise of an experienced clinical microbiologist for consultation during the set-up and initial operations of your new clinical microbiology laboratory would be important for the success of your new laboratory venture.
