Help

I was refered to ASM as a source of CPT codes for many of the misc. procedures performed by Micro. such as Optichin, Tisse grinding, germtube, etc. Can you help?
Currently our ASM expert for coding is Dr. Vickie Baselski. She can be reached at: vbaselski@utmem.edu Each year the CPT codes are updated by the American Medical Association and are available for purchase. Many of these codes for Microbiology are listed in the relevant lists. Here is an example: 87176: Homogenization, tissue, for culture Dr. Baselski is one of the most up-to-date experts in this area. She should be able to help and/or direct you to some additional resources. Parasitology CPT codes can be found at the following web site: www.med-chem.com Look in the Para-Site section. Hope this helps.
